Sending a Letter via Secure Messaging

Bp Allied allows you to send to other health professionals using Argus, Medical Objects or ReferralNet.  You must have these services installed and configured on your computer/network in order to use this facility. Ensure that you have set up Options in Bp Allied for your secure messaging provider:  ReferralNet, Argus or Medical Objects

All Clients must have a Practitioner selected in 'Client Details' - this is so that the message can be directed to the Recipient via the correct Practitioner account.

1: Create a Letter/Report for the Client in the Letter Editor as normal.
2: When completed, click "Send Securely" - The following steps then take place

3: Select the Recipient and click "Send to Selected"
  • Bp Allied checks that the Recipient is listed in the Bp Allied Referrers listing along with the Recipients Securing Messaging Account (in this example Argus).
  • The letter is encrypted and then passed, along with the Recipient and Sender details to the Secure Messaging System.

  • The Secure Messaging Agent is then responsible for communicating with the Secure Messaging Servers and passing the letter on.
  • Bp Allied returns a 'Successfully passed to Secure Messaging' response when it receives an acknowledgment from the Secure Messaging system on the Users computer or Server.

Bp Allied will return an error if the Sender or Recipient details are not correct.

4: The user is asked if they want to Save a copy to the Clients record or to their computer.
